oh my gawddd. its less than 2 hours away from my first paper and I am seated in the library posting a blog post. (???!!!) ok, I have to admit this, exam's driving me MAD. yup, and I am totally not functioning normally. (ok la, I know normally I don't function normally also, but I am actually not HIGHing around makes me feel that I am being abnormal.)

***
this morning I was in McD studying. it was the seksyen 14 one, therefore most of the customers in that restaurant are working adults. then I 'oversaw' this interview taking place. quite amazed, because the fellow that was being interviewed actually dressed in a casual way, arriving at the venue late and was talking quite loudly (see, the reason why I get to know the situation was because of this simple fact). ok, being the interviewer, the lady was dressed in a smart manner, 'well-prepared' for the interview and pleasantly waiting for the interviewee to appear. the shocking thing was, things that she prepared on the table was actually a blank piece of A3 paper. heh, and I thought it should have been some sort of questionnaire or something.

anyway, the interviewee started yacking. with occassional laughters, their conversation soon came into my attention. apparently this fellow is talking about his business achievements. 'the 97 crisis', 'having a small scaled organisation' and 'coping with the increasing competition'... all these sounded so familiar yet so strange. I mean like, as a business student I am able to understand all these terms and concepts. but just somehow or another I felt strange. seated not very far away from them, I start to ponder if I am going into the business world next time.

well, the initial thinking of entering into the business and commerce course was so that I can still start working with a higher qualification. wanted to step into the hospitality and tourism industry, but the qualifications that were required was of a diploma. and somehow or another the person in charge of pre-u courses in college successfully persuaded my parents in letting me pursue a degree. so in the end the argument was like, since I have a not-so-bad Os results, why not I just go into a pre-u course, get a degree and then enter the industry from there?

and it turns out to be that I am now in a business and commerce course, thinking of majoring in management and finance. essentially management major helps me in entering the hospitality and tourism industry. but finance? this was an area that hasn't even ocurred in my mind prior to entering this course! haha, and yet my interest seem to be just there. I mean like, now I am considering to switch major. maybe just let go of management and take up something else or just proceed on with a single major. haha, fault of MGW2430? heh... no comments.

its officially 88 minutes away from the start of MKW1120 paper.
preparation level: 80%?
expectation: HD(???!!!)
target: D (hee...)

the difference of expectation versus target should be obvious la. target, I know what I am capable of; I hope I am able to reach it. expectation, unreachable levels which are stated just for shuang-ing purposes. wahahahahahahaha...

ok larh, have to go off liao. last minute preparations. normally doesn't make a whole lot of difference, but its worth trying. =)

all the best to everybody!

money caps...

ok, enough about the 'analysis'. one final word, jiayou!
I will always remember this quote that michelle told me last time during Os...
You only live once, but if you make it right, once is enough.
I hope I am making it right the first time I do it. =)
wells, think on the bright side of life larh, if I manage to survive...
then I will be in Caulfield campus next year.
also, if I manage to survive, it won't postpone my graduation.

haha, most importantly, if I manage to survive till the 5th of november,
it will be months of PLAY time!!!
yippee.

~~~always think on the bright side of life!!!~~~
好奇怪,第一次用华文输入法,实在是不习惯啊。
哈哈,想不到还挺不赖的嘛,起码出来的效果不错。嘻。。。
今天心情不是很好,早上起来的时候就是这样了,也搞不懂发生了什么事。
就啊,心情超烂,做什么都提不起劲来,也不知道要真么办才好。
大姐他们的宿舍停电,本来要到那儿去读书的,最后变成在家里自己读。
要到午餐时分大大姐告知可以拿回作业,一股劲就飞回学校去。
结果作也没拿到,看了一看总成绩,发现实在是不理想啊。。。
照这样看来,期末靠必须非常好,否则很难‘爬’到澳洲去交流了。
这才意识到考试是多么的重要,尤其是着莫名其妙的二年级科目。
成绩需要至少60%以上才可以如尝所愿,不容易啊。。。
平上学期的成绩,这学期起码要保持水准。
其他三个一年级科目比较不怕,现在恐惧的也不过就那一科罢了。
所以说嘛,不要有事没事去拿那么奇怪的科目,怎么死法都搞不清楚。。。
嗨,因为那该死的成绩,搞得我现在的自信心跌入谷底。
幸好对于其他的科目还可以说是有一些些的保握,只好转移注意力到他们身上去了。
人事管理,不容易,却具有无穷的挑战。
为了兴趣,为了已作过的选择,我会很努力很坚强的走下去地 =)
ok larh, enough with the chinese input.
angin tak baik this morning. now still OK.
done with agency law. plan to pia finish marketing tonight.
latest by tml morning must finish marketing.
then start on contract law which I am still @_@...
negligence is halfway gone, but then that one can leave till thursday larh...
HRM... haiyo... gone case also. especially realising that I have to reach for the 'sky'...
money caps, the worst of all, haven't been progressing since the government market part.
aiyo... start to feel the heat lorh...
today was considered productive larh. the break was good,
considering we were looking forward to the good times after exams.
haha, one day here, one day there... the planning already make me HIGH.
but still, have to pia really hard these 2 weeks.
5th of november. so near and so scary. haizzz...
received the exchange's conditional offer.
tak ada perasaan.
just feel that I might not be able to make it.
wells, that will depend on my performance in the exams le.
all in all, everything nowadays link back to the exam.
after exams, I hope everything will be alright and I will then have the time to enjoy.
k larh, have to go back to study liao.
加油!加油!加油!
Follow the music in your heart.
this statement is absolutely true. well, don't act against what you have in your heart. it will be fake then. totally fake. so fake that you can no longer find yourself after that. because once you've started to act against what you have in your heart, your actions are no longer yours. it will be of another person's, which you might or might not know at all.
feelings are not something that can be said in words easily. essentially feelings are personal. I mean like, if I stare into the sky and have a particular feeling about it, it is hard to describe it to others. that's because feelings are in the heart. well, many a time we try hard to put it down in words. sometimes trying by depicting the whole scenario and sometimes by just using vocabs that are expressive (e.g. happy, sad, excited, HIGH...). but come to think of it, there is no way to describe feeling to any person other than yourself. because what we feel is uniquely what we feel. it has nothing to do with anybody else.
sometimes things just turn so blurry that it is hard to see. see nothing clear but clouds and clouds of blurry precipitate. no word can tell it accurately. its just hard to say, hard to tell. if its like this, then I guess not defining it will be the best way. when its hard to be told, just don't tell. wouldn't life be simpler like that?
haha. I think in the simple way larh. direct and less complicated. it does matter. because the simpler it is, the easier life will be.
aiyo. this is really random. posted a lot of random stuff nowadays. I guess I am stressed up.
fang xin everybody, nothing happened and is going to happen to me! =)
wo hui hao hao de.
yi ding hui.
xiang xin. believe.
follow the music in your heart.
I know this sounds terribly wrong. but I still have to say it. I am currently sitting in computer lab 4 blogging. and by right I should be studying. by left I should be studying too. because exam's round the corner and I haven't been putting much effort into my revision.
its funny to recall what I did just now after I walked out of the auditorium. somehow or another, I just thought of Ivy and I picked up my phone to call her. it turned out to be her lunch time and we had a happy conversation. yup. I know its kind of waste money larh, to call a singapore line during midday. but I just couldn't stop it.
to my astonishment I brought the NY windbreaker to school today. law lecture was revision of one past year paper, hence the lecturer turned on the warm light and set it at a brightness that resembles much of the one in Siew May Auditorium during concert times. wearing the same windbreaker and to be sitting under the lights, the instrument, conductor and the music just came ringing in my head. haha. the first song I thought of was Fate of the Gods. so deeply etched in my memories that the rhyme of it still rings in my head even up till now.
heh, back to the phone call with Ivy. she was mentioning this alvin ng guy from mediacorp that I totally had no clues about. I am like so FAR away from mediacorp anyways. ok, next time she shall update me with all the information about this alvin fellow. oh my tian, why do I seem to be knowing so many alvins around me har???!!! by the way, Astro AEC started airing yv le bai fen bai... heh. so nice of them to start airing it near my exam period lorh... make me stick to the teevee every night at 9pm. haizzz...
revision revision revision... tao yan larh... all of that seems so easy yet so hard to progress. I am stressed up. we shall all jiayou jiayou and jiayou!!! then after the papers we shall play and Play and PLAY!!!
rar... random post.
everything will be over soon. =)
all the best!
First and foremost, I would like to wish 'happy birthday' to Audrey Lee Jia Wei. =)
ok, back to the post. got back my assignments for the week. didn't do quite badly, I would say. its higher than my expectations, considering the amount of effort being put into it. seriously, after spending hours and hours, nights and nights dwelling over assignments, this is the time where it tells us if it is worth all the energy.
to those that didn't get marks which you wanted, don't be sad over it. I mean like, its not like you are sad and you think that its the end of the world then your marks will miraculously improve lorh. sorry to say this, but what I feel is that we should all divert our efforts into exams preparation. on the other hand, congrats to those that are performing well. its just an assessment trying to gaudge our understanding and our effort put into the unit. the major assessment is about to come and hence no matter good or bad, we should all be focusing on the final papers.
as previously stated, I performed slightly better than what I've expected of myself. but I am just feeling neutral over it. not happy yet not sad. don't know why. probably its because I just don't put too much attention on the marks. I mean like, marks are just numbers given to our work which most of the time does not accuratly judge our effort. as long as it is not to differentiated, I guess whatever mark it is, it does not matter. all I know is, after knowing all the marks, I just don't feel for it.
down with sore throat, chesty cough and headache. its so pekchek to fall sick at this preparation time. and medicine always make me drowsy... @_@ haiz, despite so, I am able to catch up with the lecturers today! *claps* ok, coming to week 12, I think now I start to understand the units that I am taking. except for the fact that week 5 and 6's lectures are still don't-know-where. take for example, money and capital markets. today I totally understood the lecture, like wOOOw!!! and HRM... I wasn't even lost for a single second lorh!!! *applause*
now I am like thinking and thinking of how to start my revision. should it be all the 'zhong dian's first? or should it be from chapter 1 onwards? how about starting from the back? hrmmm... haizzz... study need to think, revision also need to think. exam time lagi need to think. my brain cells got so many mehhh??? haiyo... I not that free lorh...
good or bad, I don't know how to classify them. maybe I never even tried to differentiate what is good and what is bad. I don't know, it doesn't seem important to me. I only know that whatever it is, as long as I've put in my best effort, that's it. no regrets! =)
this is another random post, put up by a random person with random feelings on a random day.
I think I don't have/won't have the mood to blog much this month.
bleah. blame it on those bloody exams that will end in approx 27 days' time. haha, I don't count down to the start of it, because I see no point doing so. but anyway, the arrangement will be as follow:
Marketing -> Business Law -> HRM -> Money Caps
ok, so by seeing this, a stress graph that increases exponentially start to form in my mind. imagine having all these papers 'flying' towards me at an alarming rate. oh my tian, I am starting to get really stressed. >.<
rarrr... assignment after assignment are coming back this week. oh my shen, this will tell whether I have put in much or little effort for each subject. surprisingly I survived HRM assignment 1. but I wonder what happens to the 2nd one. haha, law coming back in 14 hours' time. money caps... approx 30 hours later gua... oh my tian... oh my shen...
I know a pass will be good (?). a credit would be better. distinction and high distinction, too far but not unreachable. however, a pass is not enough. a credit will make me want a distinction. and when a distinction is achieved, you will start to wonder, why isn't it a high one? oh wells, that's human being. we never seem to be sure with anything. what we want, what we aim... its always the highest that we want in our mind. but with the amount of effort already put in, I guess its we ourselves that will know what we'll get gua.
aiyo... talking cock liao larh. I am really stressed. but I know people around me are even stress-er. hey guys, take it easy larh. it doesn't mean that we must go on a study policy and stay up 24/7 just to study. exams are not suppose to work this way. enhanced revision policy just refers to additional time being put into revision everyday. for example, if previously 2 hours is used to study, then just study for approx 8 hours now lorh. haha. that's what I think larh. and with that additional hours being put into studying, it doesn't mean that cannot go play de.
ok. bad influencer down here. haha. chao!
one week into the month of october. and I just posted once this month. not much time left for me to hiao around these days. exams are just creeping towards me. but nevertheless, I manage to live my life an interesting one. yup yup, its just the part that I don't seem to have enough time to blog these days larh.
after the holidays its all the last lectures of every unit. didn't go to school on monday of week 11. woke up at 2pm (clearing up the aftermath of the steamboat event), then went to climb with shung and kor kor. first time going to camp 5, which is an indoor climbing gym that is air-conditioned, located at one u. RM12 for the day, in consideration that I am first-time guest which grants me free admission. the money was purely for rental of harness and shoes.
the last time I ever wore a harness was dated back to 4 years ago in OBS (outward bound singapore). phew, luckily I still remember stuff like double-backing, shouting the checks and how to wear a harness properly. haha, but I forgot the most important one, which is to tie a 'figure of eight' a.k.a. climbing knot. with the shoes tightly attached to my feet, I started my climb from a green track. its a short distance wall larh, so basically there are about 10 pegs. the first climb was fast, but I almost jellified when it comes to coming down. this is the point where I really have to trust the belayer (in this case, its shung).
one thing that I realise, I am scared of activities that are not attached to the grounds. its like, wanting me to absel from the peak by letting go of my hands from the wall, this is scary. however, with a few practices, I was able to overcome this 'fear' larh... good things about climbing, it helps to overcome fears. I've made 5 attempts on that day, 3 being successful ones and 2 being the goner cases. but shung didn't let me down even if the climb was a failure. so I was forced (since I cannot go down) to go all the way to the top.
haha, so at the end of the day, after climbing 3 routes (the green, black and sea creatures), I was totally in pieces. all my limbs felt as if they have been repositioned. haha, and as usual, some pictures. the two overhangs were done by kor kor and shung. me, being a beginner, obviously won't dare to try it lorh... and the wall picture is a bit the small larh, just to show the routes that I've climbed for the day shj (all the 3 routes are inside de neh!).
phew... so that was about my first climbing experience in camp 5.
vertical limits, climbing rocks! =)
ok, missing in action for the past 2 weeks or so. yup, so here are the evidences explaining the happenings. =)
list of events:
1. paddington house of pancakes
2. IKEA
3. steamboat
wakaka, and I practically wasted my whole holidays without doing anything!!!
*claps*
ok, time to get myself back and start revising for exams.
*sigh*
obviously I don't like to work hard. haizzz...
the following pictures explain what we did in IKEA. =)
enjoy!
