Merry Christmas!

ok, just came back from Singapore. feeling a bit high now~ probably because we just had a very nice alcoholic cocktail. and we had a feast in uncle mike's house just now! thanks to auntie yvonne for preparing everything. (despite the jet lag that their whole family was suffering from due to their 'mistaken' flight back from San Francisco via Hong Kong)

hmm... received a bracelet as my first (and probably only) x'mas present. heh, joanne (wy yeen), amanda (sue ann) and me each got one with our initials on it. yup yup, even though I don't usually wear accessories, its the value of the present that counts la. =)

its 20th december today. (oops, or should I say, yesterday?!)
1+ month into the semester break and I am almost rotting away.
no doubt, my weight actually increased. =(
ok, life at home has been relaxing, enjoyable and sinful (!!!)

got my air ticket issued yesterday. and the hilarious thing is I mixed up xuezhang's gender. yup, misunderstanding and my sotong-ness la. heh, so in the end had to ma fan josephine to change it. oops, sorry sorry~! ok, so in the end air fare alone is RM3856. this is like so expensive. but as long as it is settled and I don't need to swim to Caulfield, its okay~

hmm, so next up will be settling visa and accommodation lo. sent e-mails to both sides, but won't be hearing from them so soon since its x'mas week next week and basically half the world is out of office. I wonder if they will actually give me enough time to prepare for everything before I depart. *wonders...*

packing wise, haven't started on it yet. 1 year there, the stuff that I have to bring... those that I will buy there... RARRR... so many things to think about before I actually start my semester there!!!

the great escape plan is still on for most of your information. I have just requested to check for the accommodation availability during that period of time. yup, so 9th january onwards I will not be around lo~

ok, gonna talk about the 'gathering' that I attended yesterday. 6 of us, met up at cs. quite poor response la, mainly because there was another one organised on the 9th november but all the college students and the As students weren't available. that one was mostly attended by people from foon yew high school.

considering that I haven't been meeting up with the people since 2 years ago, this time the people that attended was lagi teruk ones. haha, I haven't been seeing them for at least 6 years lehhh!!! ok la, I know I laupok, but then I lost contact with almost everybody since I went out to Spore lorh... *sob sob*

hope that the next gathering (hope that there's another one) will be more organised =)

starting to pack and clear my room. OMG~ my room got a lot of things de lorh!!! heh, of course, in the midst of packing, browsing through items which brings out all the memories. presents from seniors and juniors... hand-written letters, little crafts... so gan dong-ing...

once again, I am sorry for being missing in action for approx 2 weeks. too much happenings la, busy busy busy...

went to a fun fair and took some pictures. the classic double-decked carousel amazes me the most. of course, not forgetting the ferris wheel and the rotating cups which I used to love it when I was young. going to a fun fair at the age of 18 makes you think differently. however, the excitement and the happiness still stays. well, of course not forgetting to mention that the prices of the rides are sky-high these days. (thanks daddy for belanja-ing the rides!)

met up with ivy in ipoh and watched enchanted. yup, another fairytale which eventually ended with 'living happily ever after'. had a great day and thank you ivy for the day! *muacks*

woohoo, I'm back! =)

stayed in singapore for quite some time before returning home. yup, hence the missing-in-action for such a long time. nevertheless, this trip to singapore is totally enjoyable. firstly because I get to meet up with many of my long-time-no-see friends and also because of many first-time experiences that I have been through.



went to club at st.james on friday night. this is clearly an example of a first-time experience. haha, because it was a last minute decided programme, I had no choice but to simply grab a pair of heels from charles & keith. heh, 10 hours in heels is no joke coz my feet hurts damn lot and the design of the shoe has actually scraped of part of the skin on my toes. overall it was an eye-opening experience for me la... being in there to sit around, have nice drink and enjoy the music. =) went home only at 5 in the morning, which is totally *OMG* considering that the night wasn't spent on some assignment or stuff.

had banders' lunch on saturday. realised that it was yanzhen's birthday on that day too! heh, but no many turned up, just approx half of the batch. ym, yx, maggie, elissa, yasi, aiwen, jac and me! so happy to see all of them because I haven't been meeting up with these people much ever since I left nanyang. haha, next time we'll have another gathering k? and this time round we are going to gather everybody *hopefully*.




saturday night was the night to prepare for marathon. hmm, carbo-loading session at the holland village food court. after that followed up by hours and hours of sleep, just in preparation for the long awaited zhong dian --- Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008!

I have to admit that I did not really train myself for the marathon. because my timing is 1h44min. but it improved from my previous timing from the KL marathon which was approx 2hrs. *claps* furthermore this is only the 2nd marathon that I have ran in my 18 years of life. was rather impressed by teamMONASH at both the pre-marathon function and the marathon day itself. in attempt to promote sports and wellness (and shun bian to do some advertisement), they actually treated the runners and the supporters quite well. *cheers!*



ok, then immediately after the marathon was a meet-up with ivy. haha, marina square changed a lot since I last went there. and still remembering what it has been like when I went there at the age of 3, I bet now the place is totally different. 'snacked' at cafe cartel, savoured the cheese cake and the brownie stack. *yummy* of course, the most important zhong dian was to chat and yack with ivy. =)



monday was more of a relaxed day because I finally get the chance to meet datou! due to the muscle aches, I cabbed down to vivocity. had superdog with datou for lunch. heh, thanks datou for belanja-ing me! *muacks* perhaps a little saddie because I wasn't able to meet up with audrey during the entire trip. hmm... nvm, we'll go for a date some time later! =)

came back over to jb on tuesday and so the trip ended just like that.
well, I wasn't able to meet up with too many people.
but I am glad to be able to see so many of you.
