today's saturday and surprisingly I am at home! so finally I am free to blog long long long post. =)
2 weeks since I have came to melbourne. chinese new year has 'officially' ended and malaysia's parliament has been dissolved for elections. as for me, life's just starting down here in the faraway land. the house is becoming more and more cozy now that we have started preparing meals and hanging out. lesson's starting in 2 days time, marking the end of my 3+ months' holiday.
finished watching the last two episodes of coffee prince and deleted it away from my comp. haha, ngam ngam it was about sending off and returning after 2 years studying abroad. I wonder, how will everybody act when I return after 1 year overseas? haha, I wonder and wonder...
things are quite nice here in melbourne. weather's nice and food is still ok. its extremely costly to eat out, so we resorted to buying raw ingredients and cook at home. well, the first few times are still experimental of course, but fortunately everything turned out still quite well, so I presume after 1 year I will be a pro chef! =)
everybody went to healesville sanctuary today except for aiyeen and me. it was suppose to be a field trip to meet with the koalas and kangaroos, costing AUD65 per person. so due to the tight financial budget I chose to give it a miss since I had seen all those animals before. activities that monash abroad organised are actually very very nice, but cannot keep attending if not I will be broke in no time. haha, and as predicted (by xuezhang and dajie), I am keen to attend the winery tour which is I don't know when... hee...
so today's the stay-at-home-rest-rest-rest day. haha, did a bit of cleaning and tidying here and there. trying to get everything into place before semester reopens. oh my tian, don't dare to imagine what will happen once school reopens. week 5 and week 9 are most dreadful of all. haha, despite all these, I presume I will have a pleasant semester ahead larh, since I am now in foreign lands and I am suppose to enjoy the whole programme.
thinking of whether to join a co-curricular activity this coming semester. considering the philharmonic ochestra... but a bit pulled back by the practise and the commitment. once bitten twice shy, I guess I will just have to think over it thrice before committing gua~
its getting colder and colder as days pass by. end of summer now and autumn is up next. I am in my jumper now and I dare not imagine what will happen to me during winter. overeating, oversleeping... oh my shen, everybody has been warning me to avoid all those!!! ok... reminder reminder: I must not over-eat/over-sleep during cold days. =)
people are still shocked when they see us sharing food here in australia. I don't know, perhaps my appetite will grow and become as big as their's 1 year later. but for now, I seriously honestly truthfully cannot finish their regular portion of food lorh... will try to adapt to it larh, hopefully it will help to reduce all the wierd stares and awkwardness.
I guess this post is getting longer and longer as I type. hee, one last thing to be mentioned, I think currency conversion is so irritating!!! well, since we are all out of home, that means we have to be in control of all our financial resources. its reasonable that we save a bit, but sometimes coming out means spending money lorh. I believe this is a known fact when we first applied to come overseas. nothing in particular, just some random rants...
I don't seem to be able to upload any photos onto friendster, facebook or blogger. will see into the matter asap and try to upload more recent photos of me. =)
cheers!
