haven't been blogging much lately.
guess most of it is because of the 2 assignments that I am currently stuck with.
not getting any word written in the word document.
barely researching and familiarizing myself with the contents that I am suppose to write on.
and I am tired~
mexico and NAFTA.
maquiladora and automotive industries.
significant net benefits? or otherwise...
RARRRrrrRRR...
staring blankly into the screen.
and half a semester just passed.
3 more assignments to liberty!!!
coca-cola company.
environmental influence.
organisational behaviour.
yerrrRRR~~~
quite sick with management now.
and I don't understand why management units are so unbearable when it comes to assignments.
I mean like, n thousand words... what's the point?
can't they have exams and assignments in the form of mind-maps?
I bet I can score well if that's the case.
but its not... =(

*phew*
finally finally finally, I am back! =)
submitted comm bank assignment yesterday. *claps*
'if only credit crunch can be as nice as kokokrunch...'
totally exhausted...
***
'The palest ink is better than the best memory.'
this statement, apart from appearing during comm bank lecture yesterday, stresses out the importance of having terms written down in hard copies. well, essentially it was suppose to refer to the documentations involved in lending decision but I thought it is so well said that it applies to life as well.
trust, how much do you weight that?
some time ago when I was doing some personality thingy on facebook, it says:
'Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends,
but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.'
in human relationships, I think trust plays a great deal. but apart from that, black and whites does the job. like for example, marriage certificates. I mean like what are they for if one couple is loving each other and plan to get together for the rest of their lives? but signing on that piece of black and white is some commitment stated down clearly. and those commitments are all legally bounding.
people say that it is always safer to have signed a black and white instead of just believing in words. I say it is only safe when a black and white is signed, dictating all the most important terms that may become detrimental. in other words, trust are just not trust. trust are just beliefs that are weighted more than beliefs. when it comes to actual real life matters, black and whites are the only reliable thing on earth. even in courts, proofs are more reliable and convincing when its stated on papers.
perhaps... its just the security within that piece of paper that makes us feel safe.
***
oh my tian, I don't know why I am commenting on such statements. believe me, I am crazy after assignments. haha. working on the remaining 3 assignments~

there are just times where I wish I had 48 hours a day and the energy to keep studying. but at the end of the day I will definitely be doing something else instead of keeping the focus on books. and today is just as usual. but to overcome the guiltiness in my hear and my mindset, I worked through the online quizzes and formulated a 'ZHONG DIAN' sheet which is suppose to summarize most of the things covered in the quiz. ok, so not totally wasted. partially, that is.

perhaps next semester onwards the assignment topic for money and capital markets will not be on 'credit crunch' or 'economic crisis' anymore. it might be on something that is even closer to us --- Rice Crisis. yeah, Asians' staple food, Rice.
it is almost an essential thing to have rice appearing on our dinner table everyday. I mean like, since young, I bet the amount of rice that we, as Chinese, have put into our mouths are definitely amounting to mountains and mountains. its always 3 dishes+1 soup+ RICE. (direct translation:3 veggies 1 soup) so without rice, Chinese meals will be incomplete. just like hamburgers without the bun on both the top and the bottom.
so there are various factors that attributes to the Rice Crisis. disaster, being the major contributor, has had negative impact on rice production recently. Thailand, known for its world-class jasmine rice, is now producing lesser and lesser rice. this can be due to the urbanization of the country and also the constantly small-scale rice farming industry that hasn't grown any larger since don't-know-when.
switching from the supply side, the demand side for rice market gets strain as the population in the world has been increasing. population around the world are just increasing and with the improvements in people's life, more people can now eat rice and thus there is increase in demand for it. so combining both viewpoints, a shortage situation occurs. governments try to ease the situation by subsidizing the price for rice, but in some countries all the efforts seems vain.
on one hand they have to curb the panicky situation among its nation with concerns to demand for rice. on the other hand they have to take care of the hiking inflation which is caused by the shortage in the markets. another hand have to bring black markets down, make sure that nobody is making use of the shortage situation to earn money. the last hand must make sure that supplies from importing countries are constant and not shock the market with no supply.
well, rice are just so vital to our survival. don't you agree?!

'They say that love makes us do the craziest things,
but it can also make us do terrible things.
And when that happens its not really love, its fear.
Fear of being alone;
fear of being replaced;
fear of being forgotten.'

I, too, am stuck with the series entitled 'ghost' that is being produced locally, by our proud malaysians. like oh my gawddd, our people actually produced that film!!! 2 episodes into it and I am already awed with what we malaysians are capable of producing. I mean like, hey, that's a not bad malayu-campur-english serial lo! at least I would say, that's truly malaysian. the diverse group of people starring in the show, mix of two national languages... I mean like, who can do it except for malaysians?!
the quote above was adapted from the film directly. it was spoken by eza, at the end of episode 2, where she (and zack) discovered and revealed many many hidden facts. thought it would be meaningful and sort of 'inspiring' to share it with you guys reading this blog. I mean like, yea we can do crazy things when we're in love, and so do we have the capability of doing terrible things due to fear. which one do you fear the most? being alone, replaced or forgotten?
perhaps we should all ponder upon that few statements.
and oh my tian, yet another week has passed and I am suppose to be MUGGING!
zomg, bless me for my MUGGING weekend!
jiayou jiayou jiayou!

finally finally finally...
done with my OB presentation!
YAY!
it was glad to hear from my IB tutor that my class did quite well for the first assignment. well, at least only one failed and it was because of attempting on the wrong country. so my grade should be at the P/C/D/HD part, whee~ lalala... didn't dare to pin high hopes on it also, because of the fear of failure that I have been used to. especially after failing last semester's second HRM assignment, there are some kind of emotional barrier existing between me and expectations.
scared of expectations I would say. scared to set high, thinking-that-it-should-be-attainable goals. normally I fail to achieve it and it brings my morale down a lot. perhaps those 'lowest mark' days in secondary school have had such negative impact on me that I no longer pin high hope in my work. MUFY days didn't really boost my confidence, considering I didn't exactly feel the challenge in the course work. first semester of first year is still alright, since most of the stuff are done in foundation. and then came second semester which SHOCKED me.
yet I walked on, standing strong.
honestly speaking, my determination of taking up this exchange program was affected by my second semester's results. nevertheless, people around me have gave me advice and support to help me make my decision.and so here I am, on a piece of foreign lands, attempting to conquer the various challenges that poses a threat to my future. reading and reading, trying so hard to understand the yet-getting-harder-and-harder syllabus is tiring, but I have to withstand the growing curiosity in my heart that wants to wander about and explore around.
I have to be more determined. more hardworking. more focused.
not only in what I study, but also what I do.
work hard and play hard.
then its balanced!

still feel as if I am living in that gone-case 1 hour... DST... wth...
its totally out of the place to wake up in the morning feeling that its 9am and yet its 8am.
and I was stuck in that 1-hour difference.
like now and don't-know-till-when...
***
ohh... had Singapore laksa for lunch just now!
and funnily the name of the dish is translated as 'coconut curry noodles'.
I like laughed my head off looking at that name.
eww... imagine 'coconut curry noodles'...
what kind of picture will come out in your mind huh?

started a shared blog some time ago.
6 authors, in total, but I think I am the only one posting posts onto it.
fine, I admit I'm crappy.
the blog is at www.yao-nie.blogspot.com
feel free to visit! =)

stuck in the middle of no where now.
feeling that I am not living on earth because everything feels vague.
perhaps I'm just stuck in that 1 hour.
but I know I'm not.
because there are heaps of things to be completed.
and I am so out of place in terms of school work.
its like things are out of place when they are suppose to be there.
I am suppose to be doing work but I am just here blogging.
I don't feel like studying but there are just so much to be revised.
I have to be prepared for exams and complete assignments on time.
round and round, the semester's routine starts again.
first assignments, then mid-semester test, then assignments and then exams.
oh man. so sianed.
haih.

some things, you won't hold on to them when you have it.
one day, when you let go then you will start to think, how's life like without them.
by then, you won't be able to retrieve them anymore.
they are just gone, forever.
there are also other things which you never hold on to.
its hard to hold onto them, as they are not easily controlled.
perhaps its good to not hold onto them,
for they might not be as good as what you think they are.
walking down memory lane,
what have I held onto? what have I missed?
as I grow up, looking back on them just reminds me of all those days.
I wouldn't say all those sad days, for I was never hurt before.
the life journey that I have been traveling on didn't come that easy.
I believe nobody has had the exact same experience as me.
I don't know, for the past 18 years, thinking... feeling... experiencing...
those were the lessons that I 'attended', the steps that I took.
of course, there were all these don't-know-how-to-classify state of mind,
there were also many happy memories.
at least, when I was happy, my heart was smiling.
at least, when tears flowed down my cheeks... my heart wasn't bleeding.
I am glad to have lived through all these.
now that I think of, I know what I have in my hands.
memories. beautiful ones, unglam ones.
treasure is the only thing I should and will be able to do.
cheers!
make sure to live life an interesting one!

three hundred and forty fifth post.
***
halfway doing the AIS participation quiz now. quite sian-ed, because I don't see a reason why I should be taking this unit and going through all these right now. attending lectures on all the odd hours, falling apart for tutorials which tags immediately after lecture... despite all the efforts spent in trying to understand a single part of it, I guess I am just hopeless. everything are everywhere now, so hard to start studying or revising... yet I am suppose to piece all the pieces together and mug for this unit :(
just got to know from the guest lecturer, which happens to be the director for management honours program, that the requirements to be considered for honours program is at least a Distinction in EVERY management units taken during undergraduate. ok, I guess that's it for my management honours... all thanks to Human Resource Management, I have parted with the honours pathway. but that still means that they have HIGH REQUIREMENTS towards honours students lo... no wonder so few people uses the facilities in building H...
oh my tian, imagine if I have to attain a Distinction in EVERY single management unit. how much blood will I have to puke before I even reach there... despite so, still have to work hard and achieve the highest possible grade la. whatever that is, as long as I've put in my best, I think that will be more important.
I guess I will have to just go and mug on AIS and then prepare my tutorial for tml.
aiks, the busy semester continues.
cheers!
